Daddy’s Girl: Making Hannah’s Introduction

It’s always exciting to meet your child for the first time. On December 12, I gleefully became the father of a little girl and, I might add, just in time to receive a tax break.

Hannah Grace made her appearance at 11:21 p.m. She greeted us with cries that sounded like a kitten’s meow. The first thing I noticed was how similar yet distinctively different she looked from my son. I expected her to have light colored hair and fair skin. She had dark hair with fair skin. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 6 oz. and measured 20 inches.

Consensus says she looks like me. I’ve assured people she’ll grow out of it. Either way, she sure is a pretty. =)
